Work

It doesn't make much sense to show off product work without giving the project context first-hand, as products are often very complex (or can't be shown as they're often under an NDA 🔒).

I prefer to run through design work in person or over a video call, answering any questions 🙋 regarding design rationale, business goals, customer needs and why things have been designed the way they have 📐 to improve conversions, retention, customer satisfaction, revenue (£Ms), or to reduce complaints and operational costs etc.

Don't get me wrong, I love showing off slick designs, but they must make sense to the viewer 🔎 as it's often what's under the hood and not evident at first glance that makes the design great – not just the shiny ✨ exterior.

Design is never linear; every project is different, so each process can vary - sometimes, you have to go off-piste ⛷️ to get back on the right track, and that's hard to understand without context.

I'm happy to run through design project work when there's a reason to, such as a fantastic job opportunity 😉.
